The Soundvase is a simple and beautiful stand for your smartphone that amplifies the volume of your phone’s speaker using a unique design that leverages patented acoustics. Its two unique orientations provide hands-free use allowing consumers to watch their favorite tv shows and movies or stream their favorite podcasts and movies from virtually anywhere in their home.
From Observation To Concept
The idea for the Soundvase came from a simple observation: although smartphone users often buy expensive Bluetooth speakers to use with their phones, many of them rarely end up using these speakers with their phones (if they use them at all). Instead they simply listen to their phone while it sits on the counter. Why? Because “this is just easier”. The speaker sounds better but it can be a hassle to get it, connect to it, and use it so consumers go with the easy solution of just listening to their phone on its own. In this case, convenience trumps performance.
Don’t Do It Yourself
To compound the problem, people can be seen every day using a myriad of do-it-yourself solutions and “life hacks” to better hear their phones when consuming music and videos as well as having conversations in speaker mode. It’s obvious that users are already trying to solve these problems on their own even if they don’t realize it.
